Brittney Weiland (b. Spanish Fork, Utah) plays with vibrating color, texture, and figuration in her paintings touched by somatic memory. Inspired by the landscapes of Utah and her work at mass-gatherings, Weiland synthesizes immediate experience, illusion, and social behavior into large-scale paintings.

Weiland was awarded a 2026 grant from The Elizabeth Greenshields Foundation in support of an MFA degree. Her work has been shown at The Springville Museum of Art, Urban Arts Gallery, Utah Valley University, and The School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She has presented her research at the Utah Conference on Undergraduate Research and the UVU Humanities Symposium as a student presenter. Her work has been published and awarded in numerous journals and publications, including v.e.i.l.e.n.c.e Magazine, UVU Touchstones, Composing Chaos, and Ever Arriving. She holds an AS in Art & Design from Utah Valley University, a BFA in Studio Arts from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and is currently an MFA candidate for Studio Arts at Hunter College. She is anticipated to graduate in 2029.

She co-owns James B Marco Gallery in Chicago, IL, where she also works and lives with her wife and two cats.
